1.1. Galore Competitions Ltd (trading as ComicComp) (“the Promoter”) operates skill-based prize competitions (“Competitions”) in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
1.2. By entering any Competition, whether via paid or free entry, entrants confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3. Competitions are open to persons aged 18 years or over who are residents of the United Kingdom, excluding employees of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected with the Competitions.
1.4. Entrants may be required to provide personal contact details which will be used to:
(a) Administer the Competition and notify the winner; and
(b) Publish winner details and proof of prize fulfilment on the Promoter’s website and social media platforms.
1.5. Entrants are responsible for ensuring their contact details are accurate and up to date. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for failure to contact an entrant due to incorrect or outdated information.
2. Competition Mechanics
2.1. Each Competition requires entrants to correctly answer a question that requires skill, knowledge or judgement. Only correct answers will be entered into the draw.
2.2. Correctly answering the question does not guarantee a win.
2.3. Where multiple correct entries are received, the winner will be selected at random from all valid correct entries.
2.4. Entries submitted with an incorrect answer will still be charged and will not be refunded.
2.5. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms & Conditions or is suspected of fraudulent or unlawful behaviour.
2.6. All entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned.
3. How To Enter
3.1. Entrants may enter a Competition by purchasing tickets via the website and correctly answering the Competition question.
3.2. A maximum of 50 tickets per person per Competition may be purchased unless otherwise stated.
3.3. Entries are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed by the Promoter’s payment provider.
3.4. The Competition will close once the maximum number of entries has been reached or the closing date/time has passed, whichever occurs first.
3.5. All entries are final and non-refundable, except where a Competition is cancelled by the Promoter.
3.6. Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply to Competition entries.
4. Free Entry Route
4.1. A free entry route is available for each Competition.
4.2. To enter for free, entrants must send a postcard or letter by pre-paid first or second class post stating:

The answer to the Competition question
Full name, address, date of birth, email address and contact telephone number

4.4. Free entries must be received before the Competition closing date. Late entries will not be accepted.
4.5. Free entries received after the maximum number of entries has been reached will not be entered into the draw.
4.6. Free entries are afforded the same chance of winning as paid entries.
5. Closing & Winner Selection
5.1. Once a Competition has closed, all valid correct entries will be entered into a random draw.
5.2. The Competition will still go ahead regardless of the number of tickets sold.
5.3. In the event a cash alternative is offered, this will be 70% of the prize value.
5.4. The draw will take place within 24 hours of the Competition closing and may be conducted live via social media (unless stated).
5.4. There will be one winner per Competition, unless otherwise stated.
5.5. If the Promoter cannot contact the winner within 7 days, an alternative winner will be selected. The original winner will forfeit all rights to the prize once an alternative winner has been chosen.
6. Prizes
6.1. The Promoter remains the legal owner of the prize until it has been successfully delivered or collected by the winner.
6.2. Prize descriptions are provided in good faith. Due to the nature of collectibles, items may be graded or ungraded and may be sourced from private collectors, auction houses or reputable third-party sellers.
6.3. No cash alternatives or substitutions will be offered unless the Promoter is forced to do so due to circumstances beyond its control.
6.4. Prizes include free delivery to the UK only, unless otherwise stated.
6.5. Winners may be required to provide proof of identity, age and entry before the prize is released.
6.6. Any tax, duty or liability arising from receipt of a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
7.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
7.2. By entering, entrants consent to their personal data being used for Competition administration and promotional purposes, subject to consent where required.
7.3. The Promoter will never sell personal data to third parties.
8. Liability & Disclaimers
8.1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical issues, network failures or postal delays.
8.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in a Competition or acceptance of a prize, except where caused by negligence or fraud.
8.3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. General
9.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend a Competition where necessary. In the event of cancellation, all entry fees will be refunded or credited.
9.2. These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The latest version will always be available on the website.
9.3. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Charitable Donations
10.1. Galore Competitions Ltd may, at its discretion, make voluntary charitable donations from its profits to registered UK charities.
Where donations are made, the company may choose to support Help for Heroes, reflecting the founder’s background and values. Donations are not linked to entry fees, ticket sales, or the operation or outcome of any competition.
No specific donation amount is guaranteed, and charitable donations do not form part of the consideration for entry into any competition, nor do they affect the chances of winning.
